But none of the sources who spoke with Variety could cite gay knowledge of Disney executives directly cutting LGBTQ content from specific Pixar features. But with LGBTQ equal rights under threat by a sudden raft of state-level legislation, the importance of visibility in storytelling was too great for him to stay silent.
